About the Department

The Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities, ADGIPS, aims to inculcate knowledge of the applied sciences in the first year students. The department prepares them for the future challenges and provides them a basis for the courses they are enrolled in. Courses such as Applied Physics, Applied Chemistry, and Applied Mathematics are taught as a prerequisite for the branch specific learning. Students are up skilled with communication skills and trained in language lab to make them better communicators. To enlighten students with work ethics, at personal and social levels, courses in human values and professional ethics are given. The department not only helps students to understand the needs and demands of the engineering courses, but it also helps them to adjust in by giving a student-friendly atmosphere. The department has highly qualified, experienced faculties, most with PhD from reputed institutes like IITs, IIMs, and central universities. A good number of faculties are NET qualified. Well equipped labs for Physics, Chemistry, Computer, assist students to get a practical knowledge of the subjects. The learning experience is further made joyful with up-to-date audio-video labs.
