Overview
As part of UTKARSH 2026, the Department of Computer Science organized TechTag Protocol, an engaging technology-based puzzle challenge under the banner of CompTech Scientia on 20th February 2026. The event was designed to test participants’ analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and technical knowledge through a series of challenging tasks.
About the Event
TechTag Protocol was a high-energy competition inspired by the concept of a digital scavenger hunt with a technical twist. Participants were required to solve encrypted clues, hidden codes, and technical puzzles to progress through different levels of the competition.
The event consisted of several problem-solving elements, including:
- Encrypted clues and logical riddles
- Digital and technical puzzles
- Code-breaking challenges
- Time-based problem-solving rounds
Each solved clue revealed the next task, making the event both competitive and intellectually stimulating. Participants had to think quickly and strategically to progress through the challenge.
Participation
Students from the Computer Science department enthusiastically participated in the event. The individual-based format encouraged each participant to showcase their technical knowledge, logical reasoning, and analytical skills while competing against their peers.
Winners
The following students secured top positions in TechTag Protocol:
- Revant Singh Bisht, 3rd Year (Computer Science)– 1st Prize Winner – Awarded Boat Earbuds
- Katyayni, 2nd Year (Computer Science)– 2nd Prize Winner – Awarded Water Tumbler
The 3rd Prize winner was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for their participation and performance.

The event was conducted under the guidance of the Faculty Coordinator, Ms. Tusha Gupta.

Outcome
TechTag Protocol proved to be an exciting and intellectually engaging event. It successfully encouraged students to apply their logical thinking, coding knowledge, and analytical abilities in a fun and competitive environment. The event added to the vibrant spirit of UTKARSH 2026 and provided students with an opportunity to challenge themselves and learn through problem-solving.
