Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Law School, ADGIPS, organized an educational visit to Sansad TV on 25 July 2026 to provide students with practical exposure to contemporary legal and parliamentary discussions. A delegation of 30 students participated in an interactive studio audience session featuring Arjun Ram Meghwal, Hon’ble Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Law and Justice. The visit offered students a valuable opportunity to bridge classroom learning with real-world legal and constitutional discourse by engaging directly with policymakers.
The discussion focused on significant developments in India’s legal system, particularly the implementation of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA). The Hon’ble Minister highlighted the objectives of these reforms, emphasizing a victim-centric, technology-driven, and efficient criminal justice system. Students also gained insights into the constitutional framework governing the appointment of judges, judicial independence, transparency, and measures to reduce case pendency. Through active participation, thoughtful questions, and meaningful discussions, the students developed a deeper understanding of India’s evolving legal framework and the importance of informed public discourse in strengthening democratic governance and the rule of law.
The visit proved to be an enriching academic experience that complemented classroom education with practical exposure to legal policy discussions. It enhanced students’ analytical thinking, legal reasoning, communication skills, and confidence in expressing informed opinions on contemporary legal issues. Overall, the educational visit to Sansad TV provided invaluable insights into India’s judicial and legislative processes, making it a memorable and impactful learning experience for all participants.
