Law School, ADGIPS organized a panel discussion on “Gender-Neutral Laws & Public Interest Lawyering” on 9 September 2026 to engage students in contemporary discussions on gender justice, equality and the social responsibility of the legal profession. The programme provided students with an opportunity to explore the constitutional and practical dimensions of equality and access to justice.
Expert Discussion
The session was led by Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar Bhatt, Director & Professor, Amity University, Gurugram, who shared insights on gender-related legal frameworks and the role of Public Interest Lawyering in promoting access to justice. The discussion covered gender-neutral laws, constitutional equality, gender justice, Public Interest Litigation, legal aid and the role of young lawyers.
Student Engagement
The discussion was highly interactive, with students raising questions on gender-neutral legislation, equality before law, protective laws, the role of courts and lawyers, and opportunities to contribute to public interest causes. The programme encouraged students to connect their academic learning with the wider social responsibilities of the legal profession.
