Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Law School, ADGIPS, in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), North-East District, is organizing a Legal Awareness Programme on 13 August 2026 to commemorate International Youth Day. The programme aims to educate students about their constitutional rights and fundamental duties while promoting awareness of legal aid services and contemporary legal issues. The session will cover a wide range of topics, including constitutional rights and responsibilities, career opportunities in law and legal aid services, free legal aid under the Legal Services Authorities Act, cybercrime and online safety, drug abuse prevention, anti-ragging and anti-bullying laws, POCSO and child rights, and women’s safety laws. Conducted by legal experts and resource persons from DLSA, the programme seeks to empower students with legal knowledge, encourage responsible citizenship, and foster greater awareness of the legal framework that safeguards individual rights and promotes justice.
