- Introduction
The Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science organized an educational and motivational visit to the Atal Innovation and Incubation Centre at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Dwarka, New Delhi, on 10 September 2026. The visit was planned with the objective of exposing students to the innovation, entrepreneurship, incubation, and startup ecosystem and encouraging them to transform their technical knowledge and innovative ideas into practical solutions.
The visit provided students with an opportunity to understand how innovative ideas can be developed into viable products and services through proper mentoring, technical support, incubation facilities, networking, and entrepreneurial guidance. Particular emphasis was given to encouraging students to consider entrepreneurship and startup development as potential career pathways alongside conventional employment opportunities.
- Objectives of the Visit
The major objectives of the visit were:
- To introduce students to the concept of innovation, incubation, and entrepreneurship.
- To motivate students to develop innovative ideas and consider startup opportunities.
- To provide practical exposure to the functioning of an incubation centre.
- To help students understand the journey from an initial idea to a market-ready product or service.
- To familiarize students with various startup ventures operating within the incubation ecosystem.

- Awareness and Motivational Lecture
The visit commenced with an informative and motivational session conducted at the centre. The session focused primarily on innovation, entrepreneurship, startup development, and the opportunities available to young innovators.
Students were introduced to the basic concept of a startup and were encouraged to think beyond conventional career options. The session highlighted the importance of identifying genuine problems in society, understanding the needs of potential users, developing innovative solutions, and gradually converting those solutions into sustainable business models.
The speakers also discussed the importance of having a problem-solving mindset, creativity, technical knowledge, teamwork, communication skills, and willingness to experiment. - Visit to the Incubation Centre
Following the motivational lecture, the students were taken on a guided tour of the Atal Innovation and Incubation Centre. The visit enabled students to observe the infrastructure and facilities provided to support innovative projects and emerging startups.
