he Centre for Legal Education (CLE), Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Institute of Professional Studies (ADGIPS) organized an educational visit on 19 September 2025 (Offline mode) for B.A. LL.B. 2nd Year students under the guidance of faculty coordinators Ms. Prakriti Mishra, Ms. Muskan Grover, and Ms. Umang, Assistant Professors, CLE, ADGIPS. The visit was conducted at New Usmanpur Police Station, North East Delhi.
The objective of the visit was to provide students with practical exposure to the functioning of the police system and its role in maintaining law and order, investigating crimes, and coordinating with the judiciary. A group of 15 students participated in the visit along with the faculty members.
During the visit, students interacted with the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) and the Station House Officer (SHO), who explained the organizational structure of the police department, procedures for the registration of FIRs, investigation methods, and the responsibilities of police personnel in ensuring justice. The session also included a discussion on the challenges faced by the police in maintaining law and order and an interactive question-and-answer session.
The visit helped students gain practical insight into the functioning of a police station and strengthened their understanding of the criminal justice system. It also enabled them to connect theoretical concepts of criminal law with real-world practice, making the experience both informative and professionally enriching.
