Introduction
The Department of Information Technology of Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Institute of Professional Studies (ADGIPS) organized an industrial visit to Network Bulls, Gurugram, on 14th October 2025. The visit aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical industry exposure, especially in the field of computer networking and cybersecurity. Network Bulls provides world-class lab facilities equipped with real Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls. The organization specializes in hands-on training programs in Cisco, Microsoft, and cybersecurity technologies, aiming to build strong industry-ready professionals
Objectives of the Visit
The key objectives of the visit were:
- To provide students exposure to real-time networking infrastructure.
- To understand configuration and troubleshooting of networking devices.
- To gain knowledge about Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) and their relevance.
- To observe how networking labs operate in professional environments.
- To motivate students toward career opportunities in networking and cybersecurity.
Summary of the Visit
The students, accompanied by faculty coordinators, departed from the ADGIPS campus early morning and reached Network Bulls at around 10:00 a.m. Upon arrival, they were warmly welcomed by the staff.
The session began with an introductory presentation about Network Bulls, its infrastructure, and various training programs. A technical expert delivered an informative session on network fundamentals, routing, switching, and network security. Students were shown real Cisco devices and observed demonstrations on configuring routers and switches.
The visit also included a lab tour, where students explored:
- CCNA and CCNP Labs – Demonstrations of device configuration and troubleshooting.
- Network Simulation Labs – Hands-on understanding through Cisco Packet Tracer and GNS3 tools.
- Data Center Section – Overview of server racks, firewalls, and virtual networking.
An interactive question–answer session followed, where students clarified doubts regarding networking careers, certifications, and industry practices.
