Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Law School organized a workshop on “The Role of AI in Promoting Human Rights in India” on 18th March 2026. The session was delivered by Adv. Richa Jaiswal, Legal Advisor at the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.
The workshop provided students with valuable insights into the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and human rights. It focused on the role of AI in governance, access to justice, legal research, and rights protection, while also addressing important concerns such as privacy, algorithmic bias, transparency, and accountability.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members. The interactive session encouraged students to engage with emerging legal and ethical issues surrounding AI and motivated them to explore new dimensions of law and technology.
