Students First Year from ADG Law School, ADGIPS visited Tis Hazari Court, Delhi, as part of an academic initiative to gain practical exposure to the functioning of the judicial system.As one of the oldest and busiest district courts in Delhi, the court complex handles a wide range of criminal, civil, and special matters. During the visit, students observed proceedings in both the Old Building and the Extension Building, gaining first-hand insight into various cases, including bail matters, serious criminal trials, cheque bounce cases under the Negotiable Instruments Act, and Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT) matters.
The students closely observed courtroom procedures, stages of trial, advocacy techniques, judicial reasoning, and professional conduct expected of legal practitioners. The visit enhanced their understanding of the roles of judges, advocates, prosecutors, and court staff, while also highlighting the importance of courtroom etiquette, discipline, and ethical practice.
Overall, the visit proved to be an enriching and insightful learning experience. It successfully bridged the gap between theoretical legal education and practical application, contributing significantly to the holistic development of future legal professionals.
