Description: The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML), functioning as a remote centre for NITTTR Chandigarh’s online training programs, organized a Faculty Development Program (FDP)/Short Term Course (STC) on “ICT Tools for Smart Educators” from 27th-31st January,2025.
The main objective of the program was to equip educators with the knowledge and skills to effectively integrate Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into teaching and learning. The program featured interactive sessions, tool demonstrations, and practical assignments that focused on areas such as content development, online assessment, collaboration platforms, and Learning Management Systems (LMS). Educators were also introduced to modern pedagogical models like blended learning and flipped classrooms.
Outcomes:
- Faculty members were introduced to a wide range of digital tools that enhance teaching efficiency and student engagement.
Participants learned how to integrate tools such as Google Classroom, Canva, into their instructional practices.- The program encouraged the adoption of smart teaching methods, fostering a technology-driven educational environment.
- The FDP enabled educators to design interactive, student-centered learning experiences aligned with 21st-century teaching standards.
Beneficiaries: Faculty members and students benefitted from FDP.
