Overview

ADG Law School organized a Guest Lecture on “Comparative Outline of the IPC Act, 1860 and the BNS Act, 2023 with Special Reference to Bail Drafting” on 24th February 2026 at 1:00 PM. The programme was conducted to enhance students’ academic understanding and practical exposure to recent criminal law reforms in India.

The session was delivered by Adv. Neeraj Sharma, Advocate, Delhi High Court and Founder of Judicial Officers Academy, who brought valuable courtroom experience and practical insights to the discussion.

Objectives of the Programme

The key objectives of organizing the lecture were:

To provide a comparative analysis of the Indian Penal Code and the BharatiyaNyayaSanhita.
To familiarize students with structural, conceptual, and terminological changes introduced under the new criminal law framework.
To impart practical training in Bail Drafting, including format, essential components, and courtroom presentation.
To prepare students for litigation practice and judiciary examinations.
