Overview
As part of UTKARSH 2026, the Department of Computer Science organized Glitch Arena, an exciting multi-level technical competition under the banner of CompTech Scientia on 20th February 2026. The event was designed to test students’ logical thinking, coding ability, problem-solving skills, and creativity through engaging and challenging rounds.
About the Event
Glitch Arena was a dynamic competition inspired by a passing-the-parcel style format with a technical twist. The event consisted of several fast-paced rounds where participants had to quickly solve different types of technical challenges.
The competition included a mix of:
- Gaming-based problem solving
- Code debugging challenges
- Technical puzzles
- Rapid-fire logic rounds
Each round increased in difficulty, encouraging participants to think quickly, collaborate effectively, and apply their technical knowledge under time pressure.
Participation and Structure
Students from the Computer Science department enthusiastically participated in the event. Team sizes were decided on the spot, creating an element of spontaneity and excitement among participants.
The interactive format of the competition kept the audience engaged while the participants demonstrated their analytical thinking and debugging skills.
Winners
The following students secured top positions in Glitch Arena:
- Anant Jain, 3rd Year (Computer Science)– 1st Prize Winner – Awarded Boat Earbuds
- Urvi Dhingra, 2nd Year (Computer Science)– 2nd Prize Winner – Awarded Water Bottle
The 3rd Prize winners were awarded Certificates of Appreciation for their performance.
Event Coordination
The event was successfully organized under the guidance of Faculty Coordinator Ms. Asfiya Zaidi.

Outcome
Glitch Arena proved to be a highly engaging and intellectually stimulating event. It successfully encouraged students to apply their technical knowledge in a fun and competitive environment while strengthening teamwork, problem-solving skills, and enthusiasm for technology.
The event contributed significantly to the vibrant atmosphere of UTKARSH 2026, making it a memorable experience for all participants.
