Principal LAW – ADGIPS

Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Law School in collaboration with Department of Computer Science & Engineering ADGIPS, organized a seminar on “Awareness and Current Insights into Cyber Laws” on 27th February 2026 in the ADGIPS Auditorium. The objective was to spread awareness about cyber laws, emerging cybersecurity challenges, and the legal framework governing cyberspace, while promoting interdisciplinary learning among students of Law and Computer Science.

The session was delivered by Mr. Yash Dhingra, Scientist ‘D’ at Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In). He discussed current cyber threats, key provisions of the Information Technology Act, and the role of CERT-In in handling cyber incidents and protecting India’s digital infrastructure.

The interactive session enhanced students’ understanding of cybercrime, data protection, digital evidence, and cyber hygiene practices. Overall, the seminar was informative and impactful, strengthening awareness of digital rights, responsibilities, and preventive measures in the digital era.
