The ADG Judicial Preparation and Mentorship Programme was held on 13th September 2025 (Saturday) from 2:00 P.M. onwards at Room No. 1007, CLE, ADGIPS, under the coordination of Ms. Prakriti Mishra, Assistant Professor, CLE, ADGIPS, and Ms. Yashika Singla, Assistant Professor, CLE, ADGIPS. The programme is an initiative aimed at preparing aspiring judicial officers by providing structured academic training along with mentorship from experienced legal professionals. It seeks to strengthen participants’ legal knowledge, analytical abilities, and professional ethics while also offering practical insights into the functioning of the judiciary.
The primary objective of the programme is to prepare candidates for judicial service examinations and support their overall career advancement in the legal field. It also aims to provide practical exposure to judicial responsibilities through mentorship, enhance legal knowledge and decision-making abilities, and promote professional ethics and responsibility among future judicial officers.
The programme includes a series of intensive workshops covering substantive and procedural laws, prelims practice papers, mains answer-writing sessions, and judgment-writing exercises. In addition, participants undergo periodic assessments to monitor their progress. A significant component of the initiative is the one-on-one mentorship system, where each selected participant is paired with an experienced judicial officer who provides guidance, feedback, and professional insights throughout the programme.
Participation in the programme was based on an entrance examination conducted on 20th August 2025. A total of 60 applications were received, out of which 44 candidates appeared for the examination. Following the evaluation process, 25 students who secured marks above the cut-off were selected to be part of the programme.
Overall, the ADG Judicial Preparation and Mentorship Programme has proven to be a valuable initiative in preparing students for the demands of the judiciary. By combining structured academic training with personalized mentorship, the programme effectively bridges the gap between theoretical learning and practical application, while fostering competent, confident, and ethically responsible future judicial officers.
