The students of B.A. LL.B. Fourth Year of ADG Law School, ADGIPS, participated in an educational visit to the Supreme Court of India on 9th May 2026. A total of 20 students attended the visit as part of experiential learning and practical legal education. The visit aimed to provide students with first-hand exposure to the functioning of the Indian judicial system and help them understand courtroom procedures, judicial discipline, and constitutional interpretation in a practical environment.
During the visit, students observed live court proceedings and witnessed how judges and advocates conducted hearings with professionalism and discipline. They gained insight into legal arguments, judicial questioning, courtroom etiquette, and the use of constitutional provisions and precedents in litigation. Students also observed modern judicial administration systems, including digital display and e-filing facilities.
The students were further given a tour of the Supreme Court premises, including the courtrooms, library, foundation stone area, and museum. The visit to the library highlighted the importance of legal research and precedents, while the museum showcased important moments in India’s constitutional and judicial history.
Overall, the visit proved to be highly informative and academically enriching, helping students connect theoretical legal concepts with practical application while enhancing their understanding of the Indian judiciary and the rule of law.
