he Centre of Legal Education (CLE), Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Institute of Professional Studies (ADGIPS) successfully organized the Intra Moot Court Competition 2025 on 7th November 2025 to provide law students with practical exposure to courtroom advocacy and judicial proceedings.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from eight teams comprising students of B.A. LL.B. and BBA LL.B. programmes, with each team consisting of two mooters and one researcher. The event aimed to enhance students’ legal research, drafting, analytical reasoning, and oral advocacy skills, while also familiarizing them with courtroom procedures and professional etiquette.
The preliminary rounds were conducted simultaneously in various rooms of CLE and were judged by the faculty members of the department. The final round was held in the Moot Court Room, where the top two teams competed before a distinguished judging panel comprising Dr. Chandrika Setu Sharma (Head of Department, CLE) along with Ms. Muskan Grover and Ms. Anjanee Goel, Faculty Conveners of the Moot Court Society.
The event was successfully organized under the guidance of Faculty Conveners Ms. Muskan Grover and Ms. Anjanee Goel, with the support of Student Convener Ashwin and Co-Convener Garima Singh, along with dedicated student coordinators.
The competition served as a valuable experiential learning opportunity, helping students develop confidence in public speaking, legal reasoning, advocacy skills, and teamwork, thereby preparing them for future moot court and trial advocacy competitions.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Chandrika Setu Sharma, Head of Department, CLE, followed by a group photograph to commemorate the successful event.
