he Centre of Legal Education (CLE), Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Institute of Professional Studies (ADGIPS) organized an educational visit to the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi for students of BA LL.B and BBA LL.B (3rd and 4th Year) to provide them with practical exposure to the functioning of the higher judiciary.
During the visit, 16 students, under the guidance of Ms. Umang and Ms. Prakriti Mishra, attended proceedings in various courtrooms located in the Old Building, New Building, and Extension Building of the court complex. The students observed hearings related to Public Interest Litigation, contractual disputes, property matters, and service law cases before different benches, including the court of Hon’ble the Chief Justice and other learned judges.
Through this experience, students witnessed real-time courtroom proceedings, legal arguments, and judicial decision-making, which helped them better understand courtroom etiquette, procedural aspects, and the functioning of single and division benches in the High Court.
The visit proved to be a valuable experiential learning opportunity, bridging the gap between theoretical legal education and practical application of law. It also inspired students to develop a deeper appreciation for the judicial process, rule of law, and their future responsibilities as legal professionals.
